How Remote Computer Support Works

Remote support appointments work just like my onsite service calls. You choose an exact time — not a time window — and my system instantly confirms your appointment. You’ll get reminders before the session, and I’ll call you right at the time you booked so we can get started together.

If I’m finishing an onsite appointment when the 30‑minute reminder hits, I’ll call or text to let you know I’m running a little behind. I treat remote sessions with the same professionalism and communication as in‑person visits.

Most support sessions are on Windows computers, but I can also help with Mac, iOS, and Android when needed. If your device isn’t Windows, I’ll tell you exactly which download button to click on the Splashtop page so everything goes smoothly.

When it’s time to begin, you’ll go to sos.splashtop.com on the device you want help with. You’ll see download buttons for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS — just choose the one that matches your device.

Please wait until our scheduled time before downloading or opening the program. Once you open the downloaded file, it will display a temporary 9‑digit session code. This code expires after a few minutes, so I’ll tell you exactly when to open it and read the code to me or text it over.

After I enter the code, I can connect to your computer and you’ll see everything I’m doing in real time. Nothing is installed permanently, and I can’t reconnect later without a brand‑new code — you stay in full control from start to finish.
